Letter from the Chairman of PIDC…performers SHOULD read this!!!
Hi Guys,
CONGRATULATIONS for successfully making it to the PIDCI’s 109th Independence Day Celebration Cultural Entertainment in New York. This event is dubbed as the BIGGEST PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION outside the Philippines…!!!!
Here are some tips for all:
1. Every performer/group will do a number that is more or less 4 minutes. This is YOUR time..!!Make the best out of it..! Non-pros: this is your BIG BIG chance to be scouted by producers who will surely be around..!! FOCUS on and perfect your favorite song/number..!! It only takes ONE great performance to make and get a break..!!!! BE WELL PREPARED…
2. PLS DRESS TO IMPRESS. Rappers/Hip Hop groups, pls be raggedly impressive, look different from your ordinarily dressed spectators.YOU ARE THE PERFORMER and THAT MAKES THE BIG DIFFERENCE…!!
3. Pls have your CD’s properly labeled and sound checked before the show. Sound check starts around 1 pm.
4. Contract signing will be on same date, Jun 3rd, starting at 12 noon
right where the stage is located. The main show starts at 2:30 pm. No more contract signing after 2:30 pm. Pls come on time. Non-pros, this is your oppotunity to start practicing being a real pro…!!!! Pls remember: NO CONTRACT, NO SHOW.
5. Pls bring your favorite POSTER, more or less 20×22 in., and we will display it all throughout the show.
6. You are requested to stay throughout the whole show . WE are all singing a common song at the end of the show. AND there will be a group photo session as well.
7. Some of you, especially the pros, will surely be asked by the spectators to sing more. We hate not to give them what they want but due to time constraints, we will have to let evrybody perform first, and then call you back later IF time allows. So pls be ready for another number, JUST IN CASE.
8. BANDS: amps/speakers/mics/drum set will be provided by Dave’s Dpsound, one of the best soundmakers in town. Just bring your instruments ie guitars, keyboards, etc.
9. A printed programme that will tell your number in the show will be distributed at your contract signing.
10. There will be two separate dressing rooms, one for males, one for females. (No 3rd dressing room for the 3rd sex. SORRY!…) OH, btw, and this is the BEST PART,
11.FOOD and DRINKS will be provided for FREE..!!

My first time camping…
hey guys, I know I haven’t been updating my blog lately….I’ve been busy and lazy as well=) hahaha…. well anyways, I hope this post will sorta make up for it.
so yah, last Friday, Eldridge and a bunch of our friends drove up to Pismo Beach to camp out for the weekend.
When we got there, the sun was almost setting….so beautiful.
This place is known for the best clam chowder ever. So we headed up to Spalsh and had dinner.
Mmm, soOoo good. -Aight, enough of that. hahaha…..
It was getting late so we had to find a camping ground to spend the night.
That night was almost perfect except it was waaay too cold. I only had four hours of sleep. I kept waking up because my feet were cold. Totally forgot to bring a pair of socks=( hahahhaa….
Morning came.
we took Corrina’s 4×4 off-roding…and got stuck=) hahhaaa…. watch what happened. CLICK HERE! and look, they also rented ATV’s.

so yah, that’s what we basically did all day besides playing volleyball and eating. That afternoon, we packed up and left.
We booked a room at this really cool place and spent the night there. More comfortable than sleeping on sand, believe me.
well, there it is. That was my weekend. Over-all, I would rate it 7 out of 10. Maybe if it was a little warmer, I could actually have gotten a tan=)
it’s nice to be home now. i miss my bed….Hmmmm…..and i also miss taking a shower=) hahahaa…..

what a surprise…guess who’s here?
my mom called yesterday and said, "Gold, si Tita Sha nasa LAX." I was like, "Who?"
i looked at my phone. one missed call. i called back that number. Tita Sha picked up. OMG! i couldn’t believe it. she’s actually here.
by 9 p.m. nagkita na kami. i picked her up sa house where she was staying at and drove her back to my house.
non-stop kwentuhan.
the next morning, we got up early and had breakfast. tapos namasyal na kami.
our first stop was at Hollywood and Highland.
then we went straight to Universal City Walk, which is less than three miles North.
sobrang fun. i never thought i’d be with Tita Sha here sa LA. hopefully, everything will turn out ok for her. well, for now….happy-happy muna kami before anything else=)
gotta get some rest. may lakad pa kami tomorrow eh.
